What If I Guarantee My Horse To Be Sound?
All guarantees are between the buyer and seller. Central Iowa Exchange acts as an agent only. However, if you advertise your horse to be sound or call it sound while in the ring the buyer has until noon Monday to have a vet examine the horse. During this time your check for the horse will be held. If the horse is deemed unsound, the horse must be returned to the sale barn by Monday evening. Otherwise your check will be mailed out Monday at noon.

By stating your horse is sound, you are guaranteeing your horse is free from:
  • cribbing/wind-sucking
  • full or partial blindness
  • heaves
  • lameness in legs or feet

We expect all sellers to disclose any known issues and sell their horse honestly
Does My Horse Need It's Coggins Test?
We strongly urge you to have your horses coggins tested before the you bring them to the sale. This gives out of state buyers the opportunity to buy your horse, increasing it's chance of selling or possibly bringing more. Horses not coggins tested will be announced in the ring and will not be sold to out of state buyers.

*We do not offer a portable coggins lab on site.*
